Nha Trang – A Paradise On Earth

With over 3400km of coastline, Vietnam has plenty of secluded coves with white sands and waters fit for snorkelling, lagoons, impossible boulder formations and tropical islands ringed with yet more beaches. One of the best place you shouldn’t miss on your trip to Vietnam is Nha Trang where is widely known as the Paradise on Earth.

Nha Trang, a delightful south coast city located 400km from Ho Chi Minh city to the North, is generally recognised as Vietnam’s most famous seaside resort-town. Six kilometres of sand joins the sea to the city, with rolling waves on one side and fringed on the other by cafes, restaurants, and some unusual modern sculptures. Watersports, day trips by boat and of course fresh pineapple are all readily available.

Nha Trang-vinpearl

It’s more lively and urban in character than other beach destinations like Mui Ne and Phu Quoc. Nha Trang is a party town at heart, like any self-respecting resort should be. Forget the curfews of the capital, people play late in this town. It’s also the scuba diving center of Vietnam.

Where to go in Nha Trang?

  • National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam This is like an aquarium with popular and rare species of the sea. A perfect place for children as they will get to see sharks, turtles, coral reefs, lionfish, sea horses, and many other creatures.
  • Po Nagar Cham Towers were built by the Cham civilization between the 7th and 12th century to honor Yang Ino Po Ngar, the incense aroma emanating from within makes it clear that this remains a religious site for the local Buddhists kingdom of Nha Trang today.
  • Fishing village is located between the old and the new bridge. When the fishing boats are coming in or going out it is a beautiful sight.
  • Nha Trang Cathedral stands on a small hill overlooking the train station. It’s a surprisingly elegant building given that it was constructed of simple cement blocks. The cathedral shows the influence of French Catholicism. It’s a quaint, free and quick sight to see
