At Asian Golf Awards 2015 event in Singapore from 15th -18th October, for the second successive year, Mountain Course of BRG King’s Island Golf Resort has awarded “Best Course in Vietnam” by Asian Golf Magazine – Asia’s most respected golf publication. Previously, in July 2015 the course has also received the “Top 5 Golf Course in Vietnam” award by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam. This year has been genuinely great year for BRG group, along with the award for BRG Kings’ Island Golf Resort, Madame Nguyen Thi Nga – Chairwoman of BRG Group, a leader who is dedicated to the development of a golf in Vietnam to bring this sport to the next level was also awarded “Asia Pacific Vision Award”.
Situated on a small island in the middle of Dong Mo Lake where is at the foot of Ba Vi Mountain (known as “the King of mountains” in the Vietnamese spirit). At only 45 minutes drive from Ha Noi and 3 more minutes across the Dong Mo Lake by speed boat, the original and first 36-hole golf course resort in Northern Vietnam is divided into two great 18-hole courses: Lakeside and Mountain View.
The award winning “Mountain View” course which was designed in 2004 by Australia-based Paciffic Coast Designs Company sits naturally within a majestic woodland and provides incredible vistas of the nearby mountain while challenging all-comers to a real test even for the most skilled players. The par 72 course stretches out over 7,000 yards from gold tees and are covered by Novotec grass, a special grass imported from Australia which can withstand harsh conditions in the North and provides a smooth, firm putting surface.
