With a favourable geographic position, rich natural resources and spectacular scenaries, Vietnam has many good golf courses, most notably is The Bluff Ho Tram Strip in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province which is listed in top 100 World’s Greatest Golf Courses, designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design.
Thanks to his contributions to Vietnam Tourism in general, golf tourism in particular, Australian Golfer Greg Norman has been named Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador.
In the announcement ceremory. occured in October 31th, 2018, Ha Noi, Greg Norman made his statement “I am honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of the development and success of the emerging golf tourism market in Vietnam and to use what I have learned over 40 years in golf, business and working alongside governments to help build a model of sustainable growth and development,”.
As a tourism ambassador of Vietnam, he has a specific plan of action to boost tourism development in the country. With his vision to make Vietnam become a high-suggested Golf destination in global Golf-map, Greg Norman’s plan action will begin with carrying out promotional activities to introduce Vietnam’s golf courses to international friends and arranging golf tournaments and international events to be held in Vietnam.
