November 14th, 2015, the annual Chi Linh Golf Club Championship successfully finished at the Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club where is located 1-hour drive on the way from Hanoi to Halong Bay.
Nearly 300 golfers competed at this year’s event. With the total score of 75, golfer Nguyen Quoc Binh successfully defended the Best Gross title that he won last year. In the other hand, golfer Nguyen Thi Lang won the Best Gross title for women with the score of 84.
Chi Linh Golf Championship is an annual championship which is organized at Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club to celebrate its annual anniversary and to gratitude to members and sponsors of club. The 2015 championship attracted 270 golfers and guests who are members of renowned companies in Vietnam and abroad.
After the competition, the awards banquet took place with excellent entertainment amazing shows and numerous awards and valuable prizes from sponsors. Vietnam Golf honored as Gold Sponsor for this year’s event.
The championship was a shotgun start at 6:10 am and 11:35 am. Net scores was used to determine the winner. The participant was divided into 5 divisions depends on handicap: A Division (HDC 0-14), B (HDC 15-24), C (HDC 25-32, Women ( HDC 0-32), Guest Division (system36).
Widely known as “the golf course of Vietnamese stars”, the course was designed by the leading Australian Independent Golf Course Services, using the latest technologies and Turf grass, the golf course is indeed a worthy masterpiece. The club house sits on the top of a hill, capturing a panoramic view over the golf course, boasting a remarkable landscape.
Since its opening in late 2003, the international standard course has established a name for itself as the premier golf club in the North of Vietnam thanks to its unique location and high quality of the course. The Chi Linh Golf Club was proudly to be chosen to organize many amateur and professional tournanments in Asia, especially the Carlsberg Masters Vietnam in two year: 2004, 2005 – the first professional golf tournament has been held in Vietnam.
