At the beginning of November, Mr Hoang Tuan Anh – The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism declared the support and best wishes to Ho Tram Open 2015 – the upcoming event taking place from December 3rd-6th at The Bluffs Ho Tram. He pin-pointed the significant role of world-class sports events for Vietnam’s future tourism growth.
“To organize this great event requires not only the good vision and insight to create it, but the willingness to invest of The Grand Ho Tram’s steering committee” said Mr Hoang Tuan Anh.
The Ho Tram Open will be broadcast live on VTV (the national television broadcaster of the Vietnam ) and sport K+ channel across the Asian Tour TV platform, to around 180 countries with about 625 milion households thereby showcasing Vietnam to a global audience. The Ho Tram Open will put the Bluffs Ho Tram Strip Golf Course on the global map through the extensive television exposure that the event will enjoy as a new destination – world-class hub for gaming, entertainment and recreation.
“This large-scale sporting event will fuel tourism and economic returns into Vietnam and see our nation grow in popularity and appeal. I believe that The Ho Tram Open will be an important promotional activity to stimulate tourism inVietnam as well as offering a great opportunity to both domestic and foreign businesses a meeting place to invest, cooperate for the stable development of Vietnam’s tourism industry”. Said the Minister.
The Vietnam’s first Asian Tour event will attract many world’s leading golfers such as currently ranked No.11 on world rankings – Sergio Garcia, Ryder Cup Captain & Former Open Champion – Darren Clarke, Former U.S. Open champion – Geoff Ogilvy, two time European Tour winner as well as brand ambassador of Ho Tram Open – Robert Rock, Michael Tran (Tran Le Duy Nhat) – Vietnam’s only player on the Asian Tour and many professional golfers from all over the world.
