Day 1: Golf at Long Thanh & Ho Tram Resort Stay

Morning: Your private transfer will pick you up from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCMC), heading directly to Long Thanh Golf Club (Dong Nai), a drive of just over an hour. Upon arrival, take in the expansive green landscape. After checking in and a brief warm-up, you’ll begin an 18-hole round on either the Hill or Lake Course. It’s a pleasant start to your golf trip amidst a natural setting.

Lunch: Following your game, enjoy lunch at Long Thanh Golf Club’s restaurant. You can relax and observe the golf course while dining, preparing for the afternoon’s transfer. Your golf round will continue after lunch.

Afternoon: After your game, you’ll be transferred to your selected resort in Ho Tram (approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Long Thanh). Check into a reputable 5-star resort like The Grand Ho Tram Strip or InterContinental Grand Ho Tram, known for their comfortable amenities and “stay and play” options. Once settled, you’ll have time to relax, perhaps by the infinity pool or on the private beach.

Evening: As the day winds down, consider a drink at the resort’s beachfront bar, observing the sunset. Later, enjoy a seafood dinner at your resort’s restaurant or a well-regarded local seafood place nearby, such as Song Ray Restaurant. The evening is then yours to unwind, perhaps with a quiet walk by the sea.

Day 2: Golf at The Bluffs Ho Tram & Resort Relaxation

Morning: After breakfast at your resort, a short drive will take you to The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip. Here, you’ll play an 18-hole round on a course often recognized for its design and challenging layout. With natural dunes and coastal winds, it offers a distinct golfing experience with views of the East Sea.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at The Bluffs Golf Course’s restaurant. The elevated setting provides a good vantage point to see the course and the ocean.

Afternoon: The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the resort’s facilities:

  • Take a dip in the ocean-facing infinity pool.
  • Relax on the resort’s private beach.
  • Consider a spa treatment for some rejuvenation.
  • Optional activities (at your own expense) like stand-up paddleboarding or other water sports are available if you wish.

Evening: For dinner, choose from the resort’s various dining options offering Vietnamese, Asian, or European cuisine, or explore local eateries in Ho Tram for fresh grilled seafood. If you’re looking for evening entertainment, The Grand Ho Tram Casino is an option, or you can check for any live performances at your resort.

Day 3: Rejuvenation at Binh Chau Hot Springs & Transfer to Vung Tau

Morning: After breakfast, check out from your resort and head to Binh Chau Hot Springs Tourist Area (around a 30-minute drive from Ho Tram). At Binh Chau, you can experience a unique form of relaxation. Options include a mineral mud bath and soaking in the natural hot mineral spring pools. A distinctive local activity is boiling eggs in the 82°C hot spring water.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch featuring local dishes at the restaurant within the Binh Chau tourist area.

Afternoon: Your transfer will then take you to the coastal city of Vung Tau (approximately a 1 to 1.5-hour drive from Binh Chau, depending on traffic). Upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel (e.g., The Imperial Hotel, Pullman Vung Tau) and have some free time. You might explore local shops for Vung Tau specialties such as dried seafood, fish sauce, or the local salted egg sponge cake (bánh bông lan trứng muối).

  • Optional: In the late afternoon, a visit to the Vung Tau Lighthouse offers elevated views of the city.

Evening: For dinner, enjoy a seafood meal at Long Son Raft Village or one of Vung Tau’s well-known seafood restaurants (e.g., Ganh Hao, Lan Rung). The fresh, local seafood is a highlight. After dinner, a stroll along Back Beach can be a pleasant way to end the day.

Day 4: Vung Tau Golf & City Exploration

Morning: After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be taken to Vung Tau Paradise Golf Resort. Here, you’ll play an 18-hole round on a coastal course, where you’ll experience the sea breeze and views of Back Beach during your game.

Lunch: Savor Vung Tau’s famous Banh Khot for lunch at a popular local spot like Banh Khot Goc Vu Sua or Banh Khot Co Ba Vung Tau. These crispy mini pancakes are a local favorite.

Afternoon: Continue exploring Vung Tau. You can visit the Christ the King Statue; climbing its steps provides a panoramic view of the city. Afterward, see the historic Vung Tau Lighthouse, appreciating its architecture and the surrounding coastal scenery. Later, take a walk along Back Beach (Bai Thuy Van), which is typically lively. You’ll find various shops along the coastline if you wish to buy souvenirs.

Evening: Enjoy a farewell dinner at a restaurant in Vung Tau, perhaps one with a pleasant view, or revisit a favorite local eatery. It’s an opportunity to reflect on your trip while enjoying the coastal atmosphere.

Day 5: Departure

Morning: Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel. You’ll have some free time for any last-minute souvenir shopping at Vung Tau Market or other specialty shops.

Noon: Check out from your hotel. Your private transfer will then take you to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCMC) (approximately a 2.5 – 3-hour drive depending on traffic), marking the end of your golf and leisure journey.

Long Thanh Golf Club

Designed by the renowned Ron Fream and Golfplan, is a 36-hole facility situated on a picturesque plateau just over an hour’s drive from Ho Chi Minh City. It offers two distinct 18-hole courses: the Hill Course and the Lake Course.

The Hill Course features rolling fairways and undulating greens, with many holes framed by impressive palm trees, offering a challenging yet scenic round. Meanwhile, the Lake Course is characterized by numerous high-lipped bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole, demanding precision. Both courses are meticulously maintained with Paspalum grass on fairways and tee boxes, and Tifdwarf Bermuda grass on the greens.

The Bluffs Ho Tram: A Coastal Golf Masterpiece

The Bluffs Ho Tram, designed by legendary golfer Greg Norman, is an 18-hole championship course nestled along Vietnam’s southeastern coastline in Ho Tram. This par-71 course is renowned for its authentic links-style design, a rarity in Southeast Asia, truly capturing the essence of coastal golf.

What sets The Bluffs apart is its dramatic setting. Built on a rugged, windswept coastal plateau, the course features towering natural sand dunes and significant elevation changes, with its highest point offering spectacular panoramic views of the course, surrounding national forest, and the vast East Sea. The design strategically incorporates these natural contours, making each hole a unique challenge. With its sandy loam soil and minimal vegetation, the course offers excellent drainage and turf conditions year-round.
