On July 29, 2015 managing board of World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) officially signed a partnership agreement to allow Tien Phong Joint Stock Commercial Bank (TPBank) to organise the tournament in Vietnam.
By signing the partner agreement, Tien Phong Joint Stock Commercial will be the organiser of the tournament which is called “TPBank World Amateur Golfers Championship – Vietnam” for the period 2015-2017. Viet Nam has started participating in the World Amateur Golf Championship since 2011 with the support of Heineken beer, where its previous events were called “Heineken World Golfers Championship“.
The oganiser will be in charge of choosing potential golfers for a national team to compete with teams from more than 40 countries in the “World Amateur Golfers Championship finale”, one of the world’s largest amateur golf tournaments. All Vietnamese team expenses, including one leader and five golfers during the finale championship will be paid by TPBank.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
TP Bank Amateur World Golfers Championship Vietnam 2015 includes 02 qualifying rounds and 01 final round.
- The Southern qualifying round will be held on September 26, 2015 at Thu Duc Golf Club (Vietnam Golf & Country Club), Ho Chi Minh City.
- The Northern qualifying round will take place on November 3, 2015 at Dai Lai Star Golf & Country Club where is located 40km from Ha Noi.
- The final round will take place on November 24, 2015 at Heron Lake Golf Course & Resort where is located in Vinh Phuc province, 45km from Ha Noi.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
At the two qualifying rounds in the North and the South, based on the difference in golfers’ course handicap, Vietnamese golfers, irrespective of men and women will be divided into 5 groups. The best 5 golfers of each group will be selected to compete in the final round in Ha Noi.
Top 5 players will be in the national team to compete at the World Amateur Golfers Championship in Turkey from November 28 to December 5, 2015.
All golfers with course handicap will attend and compete at the TPBank World Amateur Golfers Championship Vietnam 2015. Golfers have not handicap index can attend the competition without receiving any prizes or certification of the Vietnam tournament.

- 2nd: 15,000,000 VND include: trophy, 3,000,000VND ATM e Counter card and a gift from the bank
