Stretches over 3200km of coastal lines, this beautiful S shape country received so much from Mother Nature. With over 30 amazing golf courses, Vietnam has become a golfer’s dream destination. The International Association of Golf Travel Operators named Vietnam the “Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year” in 2012. Let us take you to 5 of the best golf courses in the Central and South of Vietnam to discover the “undiscovered”.

    1.TWIN DOVES GOLF CLUB

Twin Doves Golf Club located in the new urban area of Binh Duong Province within a resort and villa estate, the Members-Only course has 27 holes that are divided into three unique nines played in the three different 18-hole combinations. Each of the three nines – named Luna, Stella and Sole – are wonderfully playable and well conditioned.

The Luna Course is a great charm in the countryside scenery with some majestic views of small hills and the surrounding forests. Five of the holes are connected by rolling hills and the division between the trees and the fairways intensifies the beauty of the scenery.

The fairway corridors significantly shrink on the “Stella” nine, choked by a thick layer of more traditional trees. This is an amazing course where most the green are segregated into the target zones around the lakes that helps you play golf accurately.

Sole Course is designed with many lakes which is made the best use of to create a challenging game with deep green-colored fairways  are contrast perfectly against the blue lake.

2.THE BLUFFS – HO TRAM STRIP

The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip golf course is located 120 kilometers Southeast of Ho Chi Minh City in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province. It takes you 2 hours by car from Ho Chi Minh City.

Designed by Australian golfing legend Greg Norman, the 18-hole golf course was built among the unique terrain in the sand hills of Ho Tram. The first time Greg Norman visited The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip in 2013, he said the site here is one of the two best that he’s ever seen (the other site is Doonbeg in Ireland).

Undulating fairways with large greens will welcome shots of every shape. Due to strategically placed sand dunes, grassy hollows, bunkers and water hazards,  it’s going to require the players to really think their way through each hole. At the elevation of 50m, the highest hole of the course (15th) offers panoramic ocean views and spans the horizon as far as your eyes can see.

At the Bluffs Ho Tram Strip, the winds are always strong, and its prevailing direction differs depending on the time of year. Whatever your ability to play, you will find the yardage and challenge to fit your game.

The 2016 European Ryder Cup captain and 2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke announced he will play in the inaugural Ho Tram Open, a US$1.5 million Asian Tour event scheduled to take place from December 3-6, 2015 which will become the richest sporting event ever to be held in Vietnam.
