International Golf Travel Market 2015 – A Great Chance For Vietnam

From October 5 – 8, 2015, the International Golf Travel Market 2015 (IGTM 2015) will be held at Magma Conference Centre on the Spanish island of Tenerife, Spain. This is the biggest meeting place for the global B2B golf travel community. Over 600 golf tourism suppliers join 350 pre-qualified buyers and 100 international press for four days appointments, networking opportunities and industry updates. With golf tourism expanding into new geographies, the global event to grow and attract a wide range of exhibitors from diverse golf markets such as Malaysia, Russia and Vietnam.

The Magma Conference Centre, opened by the King and Queen of Spain in November 2005, is located just 10 miles (17km) from Tenerife South Airport. With an infrastructure of 22,000 square metres the centre will provide one of IGTM’s most spectacular venues.

The IGTM Golf Tournament will take place at four golf courses on Monday, the day before the show. It’s the perfect opportunity to kick start the week at IGTM. 4 championship golf courses: Golf Costa Adeje, Golf del Sur, Abama Golf, Golf Las Americas will challenge golfers from all around the world in the event.

The lAGTO Awards which is the official annual awards for the golf tourism industry. The Awards Gala Dinner which will be held on the last day of the event on the Beach at Siam Park in the area of Adeje and Arona announce, is the perfect way to end 4 days of business development, meetings and networking. The gala dinner will announce awards in tribute many individuals, companies, organisations and destinations have excelled in delivering a great golfing experience to the golf traveller – the ultimate goal for all involved in golf tourism.

Each year the award recognise the performance of three of the world’s leading Golf Resorts, together with one outstanding golf destination in each of the following five regions:

There is also an award for the Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year, voted for by members of the International Association of Golf Travel Writers, with over 180 member journalists from 35 countries. Outstanding Supplier of the Year award for other categories of golf tourism suppliers, including golf clubs, hotels, transportation companies and ground handlers.

In 2013, Vietnam was awarded with “the IAGTO outstanding golf destination in Asia & Australasia” thanks to several international renowned golf course designers and the relentless efforts of inbound tour operators that Vietnam is now on the radar of the international golf community.

This is a great chance as Vietnam golf tour operators can build relationships in business with the best golf tour operators in the world who are are responsible for operating 80% of the world’s outbound golf travel market, worth 12 billions euro per year.
